Government of Karnataka registered the Sree Raghavendra Research Foundation & Professional Skill Development Studies for propagation and development of distance education on the pattern of Online, Open Continuing & Distance education system. SR Foundation under SR Act 21 - 1860.

SR Foundation, under Government of India, is legal autonomous and non-profit Institution and has legal right of teaching and Training under the provision of constitution.

The area of operation of the SR Foundation is wide and extensive all over India and other countries. Information centers of examinations are situated in almost all major cities of India, where semester/annual examinations are normally organized every year in MAY/DECEMBER. Sree Raghavendra Research Foundation & Professional Skill Development Studies is planning to open study and examination centers for Foreigners and non-resident Indians in various parts of the world.

Aims & Objectives

The main aim of the foundation is to educate the people from grass root level in particular and reach towards the globalization of education in general with in a time bound frame work. The foundation has the right to impart educational programmes, conducting various universities courses, examinations etc. The foundation aims to impact education and knowledge through various means suited to the open and distance education mode. The foundation provides equality education, skill up gradation and training to all using by innovative technologies and methodologies and ensuring convergence of existing systems for massive human resource required for prompting Integrated national development and global understanding.

We are used to seeing a large complex of huge building in same part of a major city with a large sign over the thresholds called University. We find that those buildings have classrooms, laboratories and libraries housed in them.
